Red Cat Holdings is looking to fill an immediate position for a full-time Accounting Manager – Revenue. Red Cat Holdings is a leading innovator in drone technology, specializing in mission-ready solutions for defense, public safety, and commercial applications. This role will oversee the full order-to-cash cycle, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, billing, and cash application processes, as well as strong internal controls. This is a hands-on role that will be deeply involved in day-to-day operations while driving improvements in processes, systems, and controls to support our rapid growth.
This role will be based out of Teal Drones, a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Cat, facility in Salt Lake City, UT, and will report to the Corporate Controller.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end order-to-cash cycle, including contract review, billing, revenue recognition, cash application, and related reconciliations. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing in accordance with customer contracts, purchase orders, and company policies. Partner with Sales, Legal, and Operations to review customer contracts and ensure appropriate accounting treatment under US GAAP (ASC 606). Identify risks in the O2C cycle and implement strong internal controls to mitigate them. Support quarterly and annual financial audits, including SOX compliance requirements, related to O2C activities. Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to drive scalability and efficiency. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Serve as a subject matter expert for revenue recognition (ASC 606) accounting guidance and technical considerations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred). CPA strongly preferred. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role. Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred), and/or experience at a public company or a high growth/scaling company. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), internal controls, and SOX requirements. Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with ambiguity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders. Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, in accordance with safety protocols and company policy. May be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance walk-throughs, or emergency response situations. Regular exposure to facility operations including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment. Occasional off-hours or weekend work required for emergency facility responses or projects as needed. Requires frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment for documentation, communication, and coordination tasks.
