Sabre Systems is recruiting for a Senior Engineer (Systems) to support the Strike Planning and Execution Systems Program Office (PMA-281) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will provide engineering support for the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program with a primary focus on the Submarine Launched Cruise Missile - Nuclear (SLCM-N) effort. PMA-281 is responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of mission planning, control systems, and execution tools developed in partnership with other NAVAIR program offices, other Services, and foreign nation customers/partners. This position is primarily on-site three days a week at TS/SCI with two days of hybrid non-classified telework. Responsibilities
Perform as the technical engineering coordinator across stakeholders with tasking, scheduling, and collaboration for the SLCM-N effort. Review technical requirements documents and participate in Systems Engineering Technical Readiness reviews. Work at the TS/SCI classification level on SIPRNet and JWICS. Execute tasks with minimal guidance or lead the execution of complex tasks. Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan and design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems. Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Apply systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems (e.g., system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management). Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems and related support systems. Perform programmatic or technical leadership roles in formulating and testing practical engineering solutions. Guide the engineering development of modern complex systems. Qualifications
Master’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field with four years of additional relevant experience. Minimum ten years of recent and relevant engineering experience, with at least three years directly related to DoD systems. Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise. Active DoD TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance. Classified work will be performed at NAS Pax River and the Washington Navy Yard. Candidate must be able to pass a background investigation. At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The general salary range for this position is $148,330.00 - $164,420.00; final compensation is determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. Equal Employment Opportunity
