Overview
Assistant Professor, 9 Month Salaried (Management Department, College of Business) at Florida State University. The position is tenure-track in Strategy and will start in August 2026. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty appointment. Responsibilities
The Department of Management, College of Business, will fill one tenure-track faculty position in Strategy at the Assistant Professor level. The position will start in August 2026. Provide a standard teaching load for an incoming Assistant Professor. Courses in the Management Department’s curriculum include undergraduate strategy, business and society, and competitive dynamics, as well as graduate offerings (MBA and Ph.D.). All classes are taught face to face, with select classes taught online. Demonstrate an interest in and capacity for high-quality scholarly research. Engage with the Ph.D. program. The department’s graduates have secured positions at peer institutions (e.g., Auburn University, University of Alabama, Michigan State University, Northeastern University, Mississippi State University, University of Tennessee, University of North Texas, University of Nevada Las Vegas, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Richmond). Qualifications
Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in an area of specialization consistent with Strategy, required by Summer 2026. Evidence of research publications and work in progress; experience teaching courses online and in traditional formats is preferred. About Tallahassee / Florida State University
