Recruitment Type:
Open to establish a list of substitutes for the Translator-Interpreter classification. Note:
This is an on‑call position with work Monday–Friday. Testing and selection procedures apply as described in the posting. Responsibilities
Under the direction of an administrator, provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation and/or sight translation between English and the designated target language during a variety of District and school meetings, legal proceedings, hearings, and home visits to assist District personnel, outside agency representatives, students and parents. Translate complex and general written materials between English and the designated target language. Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Two years of experience translating written documents and providing simultaneous oral interpretation services. Experience in a school district is preferred. Education:
Bachelor0s degree including coursework in a designated second language. License Requirements:
Possession of a valid California driver 9s license. Application and Testing
Testing Procedure:
The examination process will consist of a performance examination and oral technical interview. Applicants will be notified via email regarding their status. Those selected to participate in testing will receive additional details, including the date and location of the exam, once the schedule is finalized. Application Procedure:
