Summary: The School Psychologist will coordinate and implement psychological services, including academic and behavioral consultation using the problem-solving model, psychoeducational assessment, individual/group counseling, and crisis intervention. The School Psychologist will work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, other school personnel, parents, and community agencies to support the educational needs of students. The School Psychologist reports directly to the Supervisor of Psychological Services. Responsibilities

Participates actively in problem-solving teams to define student difficulties, develop interventions, and monitor response to interventions. Conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations of referred students in accordance with departmental standards and state statutes and federal regulations. Interprets educational data and psychological findings to parents, school personnel, and other professionals during individual conferences and team meetings. Consults with parents, students, school staff, and other professionals regarding student, class, school or district issues. Possesses knowledge of legal, ethical, and professional issues related to the practice of school psychology. Participates in school and district-level meetings as directed by the Supervisor of Psychological Services. Completes comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and produces written reports used for educational planning. Maintains accurate records regarding services provided. Participates in the formulation and implementation of in-school intervention programs. Provides mental health services to students. Participates in professional development activities to enhance practice and provides development to other educators and parents to increase their knowledge and skills. Initiates and contributes to a school environment conducive to learning. Performs any other duties as assigned. Note: The responsibilities and tasks outlined are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the district. Qualifications

Experience: One thousand two hundred (1200) hours internship or equivalent. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate in School Psychology. Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets complex documents; responds to sensitive inquiries; writes and speaks effectively to diverse audiences. Mathematical Skills: Performs arithmetic operations with standard measurements and scales relevant to educational data. Reasoning Ability: Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, draws valid conclusions, and interprets complex instructions. Computer Skills: Proficient with relevant and current computer software programs. Physical Demands & Other Requirements

Physical Demands:

Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing. Up to 10 pounds lifting. Reaching with both hands. Environmental conditions: moderate noise. Other Requirements:
