Base pay range $66,759.00/yr - $86,700.00/yr

Overview Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) is among the largest 100 pension systems in the United States, serving approximately 500,000 members and retirees across about 1,400 employers, including public universities, school corporations, public safety, municipalities, and state agencies. INPRS manages a large public pension fund with assets over $50 billion. This position will require Indiana state residency. This position is not eligible for H-1B or any other kind of temporary or permanent sponsorship for work authorization by INPRS. Work Flexibility We have returned to a 100% in-office schedule (5 days a week). We recognize the importance of work/life balance and offer flexible options:

Alternate Work Schedule: 1 or 2 days off per pay period by working extra hours

Ad Hoc Remote Work (Temporary): manager approved; 75 hours annually; 10 hours per pay period (use it or lose it)

Project Based Remote Work (Temporary): manager approved; complete online training

Your Impact Incumbent works under limited supervision performing application systems analysis and programming duties, including design, development, unit testing, and defect correction. A strong working knowledge of one or more software development methodologies, business problem analysis, system design, and systems integration is expected.

Designs, codes and debugs new and existing application software programs

Assists in preparing user requirements, functional and physical design, and other system design components

Assists in research, fact-finding, and analyzing user needs to develop and maintain information systems

Assists in development of project cost and time estimates

Tests and debugs new and existing application software

Executes tasks in conformance with development techniques, standards, policies, and procedures

Provides complete documentation for new or modified information systems and/or application software

Monitors completed application software systems to ensure proper execution and performance

Promotes the goals and objectives of the IT Department

Performs related duties as required

Specific Skills (Salesforce)

Experience with the Salesforce platform, including declarative development, Lightning, programming languages, and APIs

Experience with Salesforce architecture

Knowledge of CI/CD standard processes and tools

Admin I, II, Developer I and II certifications required

Omni Studio

Experience Cloud

Job Requirements

Working knowledge of information systems design principles and new systems design techniques

Considerable knowledge of policies, standards, procedures, and techniques used for application development

Technical aptitude and solid understanding of programming concepts

Ability to perform problem solving and analytical analysis

Knowledge of application development software tools and languages

Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, application interfaces, database concepts, and general IT concepts

Understanding of system integration concepts, including Web service development and API calls

Ability to work independently under general direction and in a team environment

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Commitment to continuous professional development

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize

Flexibility to work outside traditional business hours when required

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred

2+ years’ experience developing and implementing IT solutions

Proficiency in SQL; Oracle ADF or Oracle Forms is a plus; Oracle DB experience is a plus

Git knowledge helpful

Experience in Vue.js or another modern frontend framework (React, Angular)

Experience and knowledge of APIs and component-based design

Willingness to work in an Agile environment; familiarity with containers
