Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion for applied HVAC solutions, including chillers, heat pumps and air handling units, within the designated region. This role requires strategic thinking, strong understanding of the HVAC industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of sales success. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales targets. Present technical information to groups of building owners, architects, engineers, and contractors, based on a strong understanding of the Psychrometric Chart. Research and monitor prospective and competing representatives within the region. Assign and/or reassign territories to qualified representatives to achieve sales goals and execute company strategy. Serve as primary point of contact for reps and their customers in the territory. Compile and communicate information between internal resources and customers. Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the region. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners. Conduct market analyses to identify trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns. Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote Swegon’s products and solutions. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to ensure high performance and achievement of sales goals. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the HVAC industry. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of the HVAC market, products, and industry trends. Experience with applied system sales including chillers, air handling units, heat pumps and BAS controls. Proven ability to create basis of design solutions with consulting engineers for drawings and specifications. Experience presenting technical information to groups of building owners, architects, engineers and/or contractors. Superior communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel 30-40% of the time, locally and internationally.
