A prominent law firm in Austin is seeking an associate to join its Debt Finance group. This role is designed for attorneys with significant experience in structuring, documenting, and negotiating a wide range of financing transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting complex debt deals, often related to private equity and mergers & acquisitions.

Austin, TX Duties
Structure, draft, and negotiate secured and unsecured financing transactions Advise borrowers and lenders on senior secured, mezzanine, and subordinated debt deals Handle acquisition financings and assist in loan workouts and restructurings Provide legal counsel on leveraged finance transactions, especially within the M&A context Support clients in navigating complex financial agreements and risk assessments Collaborate with deal teams on corporate and restructuring-related financing matters Requirements
3–6 years of experience in debt finance law practice Extensive experience with secured/unsecured lending, acquisition financing, and restructuring Strong background in leveraged finance, particularly related to private equity transactions Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated legal and financial matters Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school Certifications
Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for prompt admission Skills
Proficient in negotiating complex financing documents Strong drafting and transactional communication skills Ability to manage multiple transactions and client demands efficiently High attention to detail and sound legal judgment Familiarity with private equity and corporate finance environments Note: The company offers a robust benefits package and compensation aligned with experience and internal equity.
