Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Nurse-Midwifery (Career-Track) – Tucson, AZ. Position highlights: We are seeking Career Track Clinical Scholars to engage in innovative teaching and learning for our Nurse-Midwifery Specialty in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program (Tucson). The University of Arizona College of Nursing and Nurse-Midwifery program are committed to Inclusive Excellence, promoting an environment where all faculty, staff and students can bring their full selves to our learning community. In addition to Nurse-Midwifery, advanced practice specialties include Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP, Family NP, Pediatric NP, Psychiatric Mental Health NP, and Nurse Anesthetist, as well as non-clinical specialties such as Executive Health Systems Leadership, Informatics and MS-DNP. Program faculty work collaboratively across disciplines to provide a transformative educational environment. Varied FTE options are available depending on program needs and the incumbent. Note:

Teaching Position responsibilities include teaching, advising, and mentoring within nurse-midwifery and related advanced practice courses. Responsibilities Teach and guide students in clinical theory and practical courses related to nursing midwifery and advanced practice. Advise and mentor students across their academic program. Facilitate student development and integration of expected nurse-midwifery competencies. Participate in curriculum design and evaluation of program outcomes. Supervise DNP projects and serve on DNP project committees, fostering a learning environment that supports achievement of program outcomes. Develop cooperative relationships with practice leaders at clinical experiential learning sites. Participate in program planning and assessment through faculty governance and quality improvement activities. Maintain collaborative working relationships with other faculty and staff. Personal Scholarship Develop and maintain academic excellence through practice-relevant inquiry and knowledge dissemination via publications and presentations. Citizenship Engage with faculty, administration, and students to advance the College of Nursing's mission and goals. Participate in special projects, faculty governance, and team-based efforts to obtain funding for student education and training. Maintain clinical practice proficiency by ongoing practice; maintain AMCB certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife. Minimum Qualifications Unencumbered Arizona RN and APRN license Two (2) years of practice as a nurse-midwife One year graduate-level teaching experience Immunizations, CPR and other requirements up to date; evidence of current status Rank and Eligibility Rank to be determined by FAPT Committee (All Ranks) Clinical Assistant Professor requires: Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) in nursing or a related field Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching diverse student populations Experience with curriculum design, program development, and evaluation of nursing programs Experience with simulation in nursing education Experience with collaborative/active learning techniques Experience with online teaching methodologies Record of professional service commensurate with rank Scholarly activities consistent with rank Rank
