Responsibilities
Be the face of the firm, building genuine connections with clients and teammates.
Lead a team of motivated accountants – mentor, review, and support their growth.
Own your projects: set timeframes, make key tax decisions, and tackle complex issues with guidance from tax experts.
Stay current with the latest tax laws and regulations; provide input to keep the firm sharp.
Prepare and review a wide range of tax returns, primarily for high net worth clients.
Analyze IRS notices, draft responses, and handle non-routine tax questions with confidence.
Plan proactively: create tax projections and strategies to help clients thrive year-round.
Participate in client meetings, offering insights and support to staff and clients as needed.
Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and smooth operations.
Collaborate with firm leaders and expand your industry knowledge; the firm invests in your growth.
Identify opportunities to add value for clients and support organic business growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting or related field.
3-5 years of tax experience in High Net Worth taxation.
On the path to a CPA or already certified is preferred.
Active member (or eligible for membership) in AICPA and NCACPA.
Proficient with modern tax software and digital tools.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPE.
Strong time management and organizational skills—ability to prioritize and deliver.
Valid driver’s license and a solid driving record for occasional client travel.
Physical & Practical Details
Comfortable with keyboarding (5-7 hours/day).
Willing to travel as needed for client engagements or team events.
