Be responsible for revenue accounting in ASC 606 and credit & collections as part of the Commercial Accounting team. Work with Revenue Operations, Product, Engineering, and Finance to implement scalable, efficient solutions for financial accuracy, automation, and compliance with ASC 606. Review and approve sales contracts before execution to ensure ASC 606 compliance, identify accounting issues, and provide guidance on deal structures. Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, FP&A, Product Management, Business Systems and GL Accounting to assess revenue implications of new products and go-to-market strategies. Develop and maintain revenue policies and procedures for accurate and consistent accounting treatment. Document executed sales contracts from a technical revenue perspective and provide clear accounting guidance to ensure compliance and accurate revenue recognition. Prepare position papers to communicate new policies or address complex topics. Assist in the creation of SOX internal controls and perform controls over revenue accounting processes. Assist with external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and technical accounting memos. Monitor industry trends and emerging guidance to assess impact on revenue recognition policies. Support automation and system improvements to enhance revenue reporting efficiency and accuracy. Provide technical training and guidance to internal teams on revenue recognition matters. Who You Are
CPA required (or equivalent international certification). 5+ years of relevant experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience preferred. Strong expertise in ASC 606, revenue recognition principles, and US GAAP. Experience in cloud infrastructure, SaaS, or software industries. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex contracts. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proven ability to handle intricate technical analyses and create clear, actionable reports or position papers. The base salary range for this role is $115,000 to $168,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
