Role Overview: Zipit, a member of the Wireless Logic Group, is looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our team in the United States. This role will be instrumental in personally executing the financial operations of our US and Canadian entities, providing critical, hands-on financial leadership, and acting as a key partner to the leadership team. The successful candidate must have a strong background in detailed accounting and will be the primary executor of core accounting functions. Your Mission & Responsibilities: Financial Leadership & Strategy
Serve as the key financial partner to the US leadership team, providing strategic financial guidance and analysis. Personally perform the development and execution of financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projections. Provide financial insights to support business decision-making, drive growth initiatives, and manage risk, ensuring management reporting needs are prioritized. Accounting & Reporting
Execute all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS. Lead the entire financial close process, including the hands-on execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures. Ensure full compliance with US and Canadian tax regulations, including income tax and sales tax. Coordinate with external tax advisors to manage the company's tax structure effectively. Uphold strong internal controls and policies in line with regulatory and corporate governance standards. The Secret Sauce:
A career path that demonstrates a strong foundation in hands-on, detailed accounting, progressing into a senior finance leadership role. This is not a finance management-only position; the candidate must be a skilled and adept accountant. Extensive, hands-on experience with accounting systems, with a strong ability to use report writer capabilities to extract and analyze financial data for management. Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel for modeling and reporting is mandatory, and a preference for direct experience with QuickBooks. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with an understanding that the primary focus is on internal management reporting needs. Experience in a similar multi-national organization with foreign subsidiary consolidation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance colleagues. A track record of mentoring and developing a small but high-performing finance team. What Will Make You Shine At Zipit:
