Assist with the development of projected revenues for BCOE and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) Assist in the preparation of budgets and interim reports for BCOE programs and LEAs Assist in the development of cost containment procedures and processes for BCOE and LEAs Prepare reports for BCOE and LEAs Assist with field audits and internal control reviews for BCOE and LEAs Provide training to BCOE staff Assist in monthly cash reconciliations, apportionments, tax and interest transfers, and deposits for BCOE and LEAs Assist in year-end closing for BCOE programs and LEAs Assist in the review of AB1200 budgets and Local Control Accountability Plans (LCAP) Assist with LEA annual audit resolution and audit contract process Assist with all questions from BCOE, LEAs, and the public on financial matters Reconcile certain BCOE and LEA fiscal records to various outside agency records (e.g., California Department of Education, Butte County government) Be prepared to attend a state sub-committee meeting as an alternate Assist in the creation of board presentations Plan and monitor timelines to meet reporting deadlines and ensure the timely and accurate reporting of data to Federal and State authorities Qualifications
Knowledge of: Cost accounting principles, practices, and procedures Financial analysis and research procedures Personal computers and standard software Ability To: Read, interpret, understand, and apply accounting standards and procedures, applicable federal and state rules and regulations, and BCOE policies and procedures Analyze and interpret financial documents Analyze and apply terms and conditions of contracts, grants, and agreements Correct and update financial and accounting information systems Maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and other department staff Communicate effectively orally and in writing Experience And Training: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or in Business Administration with an emphasis/option in Accounting or a related degree Two (2) years of experience in accounting and budgeting, preferred Two (2) years of experience using computer programs Other: To comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, all new employees must provide proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States. Fingerprinting for conducting a background investigation is required and completed upon offer of employment. Details

Full time: 7.5 hours per day/Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm/12 months/260 days annually (Prorated upon hire) Start Date:
As soon as possible after interview Salary:
Salary Schedule 17, Range 18, $33.66 - $42.96 hourly. Placement is dependent on experience. Annual stipend pay: Masters $750 or Doctorate $1,250 (Stipend prorated upon hire). Area of Assignment:
