Job Description This position is responsible for general accounting functions and maintaining the financial books and records for several clients. The role reports to a senior member of the CFO Strategies team, with day-to-day accountability to each assigned client. Candidates with CONSTRUCTION accounting experience are required. Sage 300 (Timberline) experience is a plus. QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) experience is also a plus. Experience with percentage of completion accounting and job costing is required. We are a team of experienced financial professionals working with companies to manage their daily accounting, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, strategic planning, relationship management, and contingency planning. Able to effectively convey technical information both verbally and in writing to clients. Responsibilities include: Financial Management Handling daily accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing. Monitoring cash flow, preparing weekly/monthly cash projections, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling accounts. Assisting in financial statement preparation based on the percentage of completion method, and producing other management reports. Evaluating accounts receivable for collectability and pursuing collections. Collaborating with project managers and estimators to ensure accurate job cost accounting and reporting. Preparing monthly work-in-progress schedules based on project completion percentages. Generating reports for external stakeholders such as banks, insurance companies, and auditors. Participating in audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures. Recommending improvements to internal controls and monitoring their implementation. General Management Supporting client strategies and participating in regular review meetings. Collaborating with client teams and CFO Strategies staff. Contributing to additional projects as needed. Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA is a plus. Construction accounting experience required, including familiarity with AIAs. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), and Sage 300 (Timberline). Knowledge of GAAP and financial processes. Excellent communication skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with senior management and mentor team members.
