The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare annual tax provisions and assist in the preparation of federal and state income taxes and quarterly estimates. The analyst will correspond with regulatory bodies and assist in regulatory audits. This position will also research and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and tax standards and help prepare financial statement tax notes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in tax and accounting, effectively manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. They will be proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies, collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and bring a detail-oriented approach to complex financial data analysis. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities The Senior Financial Analyst will:

Prepare annual tax provisions and assist in the preparation of federal and state income taxes and quarterly estimates.

Correspond with regulatory bodies and assist in regulatory audits.

Research and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and tax standards.

Help prepare financial statement tax notes.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience in a related field

5 years of relevant experience beyond degree

Preferred Qualifications

Industry tax experience, especially in insurance, healthcare, or medical sectors

Experience interpreting corporate tax codes and preparing corporate tax returns and provisions

Advanced Excel proficiency ( PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUM, IF statements )

Skills and Abilities

Proficient in accounting and finance principles and processes

Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and evaluate financial and non-financial datasets

Ability to identify and troubleshoot errors using historical data and reports

Strong data management skills with the ability to balance accounting responsibilities

Prior experience with audit, insurance, or healthcare data is preferred

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines

Location and Work Arrangement This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI.

Compensation and Benefits The full salary grade for this position is $68,800 - $118,000. The typical hiring salary range is expected to be between MIN-105MRP; actual placement depends on education, experience, certifications, scope of responsibility, pay equity, and market data.
