We’re looking for an Economist 5 to join our new Revenue Forecasting Division. Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree in economics plus five years of experience in economics; OR A doctorate in economics plus three years of experience in economics. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties

In this role, you will: Direct and guide the development of econometric models and forecasting tools used to project state tax revenues, ensuring alignment with executive and legislative priorities. Review and approve forecasting methodologies and outputs for the Revenue Estimating Conference (REC), Governor’s Office, and Legislature. Provide high-level economic counsel to the Secretary and executive leadership on tax policy, fiscal impacts, and emerging economic trends. Testifies at legislative sessions providing expert witness as to the financial impact of impending changes to tax law for the State of Louisiana. Position-Specific Details
