Responsibilities
Billing and invoicing management: coordinate all aspects of the monthly billing cycle, issue accurate invoices, and meet deadlines for an assigned number of attorneys. Process initiation and implementation of the monthly client billing workflow, including: Review and edit monthly proformas as instructed by the Billing Attorney via Paperless Proforma. Modify time and cost entries, write-offs and write-downs, transfers, divisions and combinations of timecards, ensure rate accuracy, and apply available funds to billing as instructed. Verify billing accuracy, compile back-up documentation per client guidelines, obtain proper approvals, finalize and distribute invoices per firm and client guidelines. Address billing inquiries from attorneys and clients in a timely, professional manner. Submit invoices by mail, email, e-billing via eBillingHub and other vendors; set up matters for e-billing in vendor sites and the firm’s billing system; address and resolve billing disputes and discrepancies; coordinate appeals for rejected invoices. Customer service and collaboration: provide client accruals, status updates and budgets; communicate with attorneys, clients, and staff regarding billing questions; maintain confidentiality; collaborate with other departments on accounts receivable, client/matter setup, rate management, trust accounting, unallocated funds, and billed on account funds. Other duties: maintain addresses, invoice templates, and e-billing information; assist with customized reporting; prioritize tasks and manage monthly reports; perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor’s preferred). 2+ years of prior experience with legal billing and client invoicing. Knowledge or prior use of Elite 3E; familiarity with electronic billing processes and e-billing vendors (e.g., eBillingHub, Legal Tracker, TyMetrix 360, CounselLink). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); strong organizational, time-management, and attention to detail skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work overtime and weekends if needed. Compensation and Benefits

The following ranges are provided for various locations: California: $53,000 - $102,000 Colorado: $49,000 - $88,000 Illinois: $48,000 - $94,000 New Jersey (Jersey City): $58,000 - $105,000 Maryland: $52,000 - $78,000 Massachusetts: $52,000 - $102,000 Minnesota: $53,000 - $88,000 New York: $50,000 - $107,000 Washington: $52,000 - $98,000 Washington, D.C.: $69,000 - $101,000 The above salaries do not include discretionary bonuses; bonuses are non-guaranteed and depend on performance.
