FINNess Advisors is an all-women outsourced accounting and finance firm specializing in consumer products, investor-ready financials, and GAAP-compliant reporting. We partner with fast-growing consumer brands to deliver clarity, insight, and scalability through expert financial management. We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team. This role will support multiple client engagements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth month-end closes, and best-in-class accounting operations tailored to the consumer goods industry. Responsibilities

Support day-to-day accounting operations for multiple consumer goods clients across various growth stages. Lead and manage the

month-end close

process, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation. Review and maintain

GAAP-compliant

financials in

QuickBooks Enterprise

and

QuickBooks Online . Oversee and optimize

inventory accounting , including

COGS ,

landed costs , and

inventory reconciliations , leveraging systems such as

Cin7

or similar platforms. Ensure accuracy in

sales channel reporting

(Amazon, Shopify, wholesale, DTC). Assist in building and maintaining

accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls . Coordinate with clients’ operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting. Support

external audits ,

tax filings , and

due diligence

efforts as needed. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA-track preferred. 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience , ideally within the

consumer goods ,

CPG , or

retail/e-commerce

sectors. Strong proficiency in

QuickBooks Enterprise

and

QuickBooks Online . Experience with

inventory management systems

such as

Cin7 ,

DEAR , or

NetSuite Inventory . Solid understanding of

GAAP ,

inventory costing , and

multi-channel sales accounting . Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling). Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client priorities. Prior experience in an

outsourced accounting

or

client-facing environment
