We are expanding in the Internet of Things with initiatives in Smart Home and Digital Health. Samsung Electronics America seeks a Sr. Sales Executive focused on owned and operated inventory and audience extension to build and grow relationships with top marketers and their agencies. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a passion for TV-driven data, multi-channel advertising technology, and deep audience targeting expertise, including cross-device targeting. This role requires an existing client base and strong agency experience, with senior-level contacts. The Sr. Sales Executive should think strategically, anticipate buying decisions, uncover client business needs, and close deals. The role is an individual contributor position supported by a world-class ad operations team and a leadership group driving explosive growth; the role carries an annual revenue goal and a core focus. You will leverage networking and prospecting skills to identify, develop and manage new accounts that complement our existing roster and help achieve revenue targets, while collaborating across the sales organization in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include working with top advertisers and agencies to optimize advertising growth and integrate the Smart TV platform into marketing plans, acting as a voice of the customer to communicate market trends, and championing proposed Smart TV advertising strategies across Samsung stakeholders. You will also learn Samsung TV data, products and measurement tools to build relevant advertising solutions for advertisers and stay informed about the CTV/OTT industry and competitive environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop high-level relationships with customers as a trusted consultant to optimize advertising growth. Create mid-term and long-term territory plans to expand the advertising business on and off the Smart TV platform. Work with agencies and brands to integrate the Smart TV platform into their media mix. Represent customer voice and communicate market trends and industry shifts, including implications for product teams. Act as an internal champion for proposed Smart TV advertising strategy across key Samsung stakeholders. Understand Samsung’s TV data, products and measurement tools to build relevant advertising solutions. Learn about the CTV/OTT industry and competitive environment and knowledge of competitive product offerings. Background/Experience Required
Bachelor's degree with up to 8+ years of experience, including 5-7 years in new business development for traditional TV and digital media advertising, including CTV, OLV and data activation. Solid understanding of advertising industry issues and interest in advancing Smart TV strategies. Strong track record of high-level negotiations with established relationships in the advertising industry. Successful relationship management with internal and external partners. Ability to interact with agencies and advertisers; experience presenting over the phone and in-person (willingness to travel). Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate cultures with a demonstrated ability to close deals while retaining and growing revenue from existing partners. Compensation for this role in New York, NY is typically between $145,000 and $185,000. Actual pay will reflect relevant skills and experience and comparisons to other employees in the role.
