Adult Day Support Counselor - MH (Hampton-NNCSB)

$48,317 Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Day-to-day responsibilities
Provide essential support in areas such as independent living skills training, vocational coaching, and crisis intervention. Conduct needs assessments and develop tailored case management plans to ensure clients receive necessary resources. Apply assessment principles to influence treatment planning and facilitate individual and group psychosocial development sessions. Engage clients in recreational and leisure activities; monitor progress and advocate for clients’ rights. Serve as a backup intake worker to facilitate client intakes and follow up with those in need. What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling). At least one year of experience providing psychosocial development training, crisis intervention, counseling, and case management for individuals with mental impairments. Knowledge of assessment principles and crisis intervention techniques; ability to manage client needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Knowledge of American Sign Language is preferred. Valid Virginia Driver's License. Must be registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP or QMHP-Trainee within the first 30 days of employment. Benefits
