Student Recruitment & Enrollment Coordinator Overview

The Student Recruitment & Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for implementing an annual student recruitment plan that aligns with KIPP Colorado’s enrollment goals. The role supports recruitment and enrollment for the Far Northeast and Southwest Denver campuses and works with the Senior Director of Regional Operations (SDRO), the External Affairs Team, and school-based staff. Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish are preferred, with strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders. The role requires self-motivation and a commitment to KIPP Colorado’s mission.

Role Responsibilities and Time Allocation

Professional Responsibilities

Believe deeply in the mission, values, and Race, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (RIDE) commitments of KIPP Colorado Schools and that all children can learn

Take personal responsibility for student achievement

Read, internalize, and adhere to KIPP Colorado Policies and Procedures

Provide presence, strategic supervision, and monitoring to ensure student safety and engagement in rigorous learning

Invest in professional development: coach with managers 1–2 times every 1–2 weeks, receive feedback, and apply it

Prepare for lessons, coaching, meetings, PD, and written communications

Meet professional obligations, including deadlines and schedules

Utilize Google and Microsoft tools for daily work

Maintain strong attendance and punctuality

Collaborate with colleagues and seek feedback for continuous improvement

Reflect on practice to meet professional development goals

Participate in school-wide and organization-wide professional development

Contribute to grade/functional teams and share candid, solutions-oriented feedback

Assist with student and staff recruitment and engagement (events, home visits, calls, etc.)

Be prepared for travel around Denver to KIPP campuses, Home Office, or PD events

Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., lunch, arrival/dismissal, hallway duties)

Key Responsibilities

Project manage student recruitment and enrollment

Input, track, and analyze data on recruitment benchmarks and goals

Report progress on enrollment goals

Train and hold school-based staff accountable for recruitment/enrollment activities

Research, plan, and attend local events to reach prospective families

Engage community organizations and distribute marketing materials

Establish relationships with existing families to enroll siblings and leverage local networks

Engage prospective families and provide application support and clarity during the enrollment process

Engage KIPP Colorado alumni and develop new recruitment initiatives

Support or lead community events with Advocacy and Community Engagement Coordinators

Collaborate with Campus Operations to execute recruitment activities (canvassing, tabling, campaigns)

Assist families with application completion and campus tour sign-ups

Canvass, tabling, and distribute materials in the campus vicinity

Ensure timely communication and documentation of recruitment results

Other duties as required

About a Successful Candidate / Qualifications

High school diploma required

Bilingual in English & Spanish (written and spoken) required

Bachelor’s degree preferred

1–3 years of relevant experience required

Commitment to an exceptional student experience

Strong customer service background

Flexibility and ability to manage data and communications using Google and Outlook

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong written and oral communication

Ability to handle ambiguity and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proactive problem solver with initiative and teamwork

Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for the role

Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment

Ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders across teams

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive market salary; starting at $61,200 and commensurate with experience

Excellent healthcare plan: 100% employee premium paid; options for family enrollment

Time off: more than 6 weeks annual vacation/PTO; up to 8 days PTO based on hire date; summer break as applicable

Location and Salary Notes

Denver, CO: $72,000–$76,800 (salary range); Englewood, CO: $50,000–$55,000. These figures reflect typical postings and are subject to change.
