Provide comprehensive diagnostic assessment and determine medically necessary service needs of the client. Clients not meeting criteria for a suspected behavioral health illness will be linked with appropriate services in the community. The goal for all clients is to meet their clinical needs, enabling them to work toward recovery. Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s in counseling, psychology, social work or another related field. Master’s degree in licensable field strongly preferred. Must qualify as a MHP or higher per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132 Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC), or licensed in Illinois as a LSW, LPC, or higher, within 2 years of employment. Knowledge of DSM diagnoses and appropriate criteria for each diagnosis. Knowledge of accepted assessment techniques Ability to quickly establish rapport Computer proficiency required; ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic health record; ability to accurately complete required documentation within prescribed time frames Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a team member Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements (designated positions); must have own transportation (designated positions) Essential Responsibilities
Work hours prescribed by leadership and additional hours as needed for responsibilities Provide centralized diagnostic assessments including computerized social histories, mental status, presenting problems, diagnosis, and treatment needs Determine appropriate level of care and treatment using utilization management criteria; develop ISP with clients and coordinate needs with staff Identify need for immediate crisis intervention services Maintain documentation per center QA procedures and clinical performance standards Assess client needs and strengths; establish a comprehensive plan for less restrictive care and safe stabilization Provide linkage, referrals, and advocacy with community resources Cooperate with work team/center for achievement of objectives Ensure clinical treatment needs are met to enable recovery Educate community agencies regarding Rosecrance services Serve as a member of the Access team and participate in all team meetings and activities Exercise confidentiality per the Code of Conduct and legal framework Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer Environment, Schedule & Location
Environment: Exposure to computers; exposure to bloodborne pathogens requiring universal precautions and/or PPE Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm Work Location: Rosecrance Champaign-Moreland Compensation & Benefits
Salaried position $22.50/hour (based on education, experience, and credentials) Our Benefits
