About The Role
Process bi-weekly payroll, reconciliations, and 401(k) funding Manage wage garnishments, benefit deductions, enrollments, COBRA, and life event changes Coordinate annual open enrollment and benefit renewals Conduct quarterly 941 reconciliations and support year-end processing (W-2s, 1095-Cs) Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records; ensure ACA compliance and reporting Assist with Workers’ Compensation audits, governmental reporting, and data requests Provide backup support for payroll teammates and HR/community payroll users Participate in HRIS/payroll system testing, training, and enhancements Train HR contacts and support users while driving process improvements and efficiencies Requirements
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred. 3–5 years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and benefits compliance Proficiency in payroll/HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to cross-train and support peers Seniority level
