Overview
Senior Director, Institutional Assessment and Effectiveness at Broward College. Under general direction, provides district-wide leadership in the implementation, quality, and monitoring of institutional assessment and effectiveness processes, focusing on student learning outcomes and operational outcomes. Fosters a culture of assessment and continuous improvement. Oversees assessment quality assurance and directs ongoing operations of assessment related to the College’s academic programs, co-curricular, and administrative outcomes assessment. Develops data-informed strategies supporting accreditation, assessment, curriculum mapping, program review, and data-management efforts aligned with strategic planning.
Responsibilities
Lead the implementation, quality, and monitoring of institutional assessment for the College, guiding outcomes definition, assessment, and the use of results for planning and continuous improvement.
Provide leadership on reporting, streamline and align systems and models, maintain specialized record keeping, compliance assurance, and quality assurance to produce accurate planning and assessment data for internal and external stakeholders.
Support planning and reporting on program design and implementation; prepare analyses and college-wide reports focused on student learning, quality improvement, and accountability KPIs.
Manage digital content libraries, inventories, and records; maintain data and document management systems; develop or update correspondence related to accreditation and Institutional Planning and Effectiveness.
Support strategic planning with data and analysis; provide training, presentations, and act as system administrator and point of contact for accountability management systems; facilitate program review components and institutional effectiveness plans for all units.
Plan and organize research activities, including data interpretation and reporting; coordinate development and submission of regional accreditation and compliance reports.
Collaborate with accreditation core review teams, steering committees, and task forces to organize materials, manage on-site visits, and coordinate travel as required.
Provide policy recommendations, implementation and interpretation as needed; oversee people management in the area, including staffing decisions and performance evaluations.
Qualifications Minimum Education
Master's Degree required. Doctorate preferred. Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Quantitative and/or Social Science disciplines (e.g., Business, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Education, Analytics, Data Science) or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience supporting the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Minimum Experience/Training
Eight years of related higher education experience including regional accreditation work, outcomes assessment consulting, program review, quality assurance, and faculty/staff training; five years in management, and three years of related experience in a leadership role.
