AVP,
Claim Controls
in our
Claim Operations
team. This position will focus on alignment and efficiency around key risk and control processes within the areas of business controls, governance, and business resiliency. Controls testing is a significant part of this role, and you will be responsible for ensuring that controls are in place and are designed and operating effectively. This role is also responsible for the coordination of risk and control activities and serve as a primary liaison for both internal and external audit. Location:

$115,000 – $185,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience. What you’ll be doing
Manage internal controls execution supporting Control Self-Assessments Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures for internal claims controls requirements and conduct training sessions on these processes Collaborate with the IT and change management teams to define the process governance model and the support framework to enable the embedding of Risk and Controls across all the platforms and processes Lead and contribute to CSA assessments through detailed evaluations, and collection of metrics and supporting observations Liaise with Business and Control owners to recommend and update existing controls to improve the overall effectiveness and record in the system of record, as applicable What You’ll Bring
Minimum 10 years’ experience in management of Claim Operations Knowledge of Property/Casualty/Specialty Commercial lines of coverage is a must Thorough understanding of internal controls (e.g. SOX-audits) and experience in applying them in various business areas/functions Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft office – Excel, Visio, PowerPoint etc.) Demonstrated ability to provide business perspective in large, complex, multi-disciplinary systems implementation projects Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities; strong work ethic & energetic Analytical, decision making and resource management skills with attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential; sense of urgency required Ability to establish priorities, anticipate problems, know and communicate the status of assignments to involved parties Strong written and oral communication skills Strong commitment to providing superior client service Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred Pursuit of ongoing educational designations related to the Insurance Industry preferred Compensation and Benefits
