Role As a Customer Service Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that all customer orders are received, processed, and shipped in a timely manner. You are also responsible for supporting the greater Customer Service team in sharing best practices and optimizing processes. You will work with internal Supply Chain teams, representing the voice of the customer.

Primary Responsibilities

Order Processing: Uphold the ‘perfect’ order cycle from order receipt to invoicing while striving for continuous improvement by developing technical expertise, suggesting process changes and best practices.

Understand the Customer’s DNA as it pertains to their order management and logistics processes, to drive improvements.

Take OWNERSHIP to check finished goods inventory to ensure available stock to fulfill orders; liaise with appropriate departments regarding shortages, out of stocks, delays and/or complaints.

Build relationships with Customer’s Replenishment Analysts as well as Riverside’s Key Account Managers.

Work with the Warehouse & Logistics teams to determine shipping dates, coordinate appointments, and prepare outbound shipping documents.

Troubleshoot and resolve EDI errors on Order Receipts, Shipped orders, and Invoicing.

Work as a TEAM to support cross functional partners by reaching agreement through discussion, analysis, and compromise.

Keeps the work atmosphere FUN by keeping it light and welcoming.

Demonstrate leadership by leading cross functional calls, gathering input, creating action plans, and sharing results with the greater team.

Demonstrate both a customer-centric and One Team-minded approach.

Develops and shares customer scorecards and creates action plans to improve Case Fill and On Time.

Demonstrates and upholds Riverside’s core values.

Reports to the Customer Supply Chain Manager.

Education & Qualifications

3-4 years’ experience in a customer service, order fulfillment or logistics role, preferably within a Manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods environment

Strong understanding of business processes and accounting concepts as they relate to CPG

Technical aptitude and comfort with ERP and/or SAP systems, Outlook, Excel, Access
