Position Summary

As a key member of the Core Payments Revenue leadership team, the Vice President (VP) of Core Payments – Field Sales will be responsible for leading and executing the outside sales strategy across regional territories. This role will oversee a high-performing field sales organization focused on acquiring new customers and growing revenue through face-to-face engagements, lead-based and relationship-based selling. The VP will partner with the SVP of Core Payments to drive strategic direction, coach and develop field leaders, and ensure operational alignment with cross-functional partners across the business. Key Responsibilities

Partner with SVP to define and execute the strategic vision for field sales within Core Payments. Lead a team of Regional Sales Directors and field-based Division Managers responsible for driving new business and expanding wallet share in assigned territories. Drive execution of revenue and customer acquisition goals through strategic field initiatives and direct customer engagement. Serve as a primary leader in fostering relationships with key partners and enterprise clients across the country. Monitor and analyze field sales performance via Salesforce, pipeline activity, and regional trends; report insights to senior leadership and drive performance through data. Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to ensure alignment of messaging, campaigns, and field enablement resources. Support and influence territory planning, compensation strategy, and incentive design to drive field productivity. Champion a strong coaching culture with a focus on performance, accountability, and career development. Promote team collaboration with Sales Operations, Product, Marketing, Revenue Strategy, and other key business areas. Represent Core Payments in industry events, field summits, and high-level client engagements. Uphold a culture of integrity, excellence, and inclusivity throughout the field sales organization. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of leadership experience in sales, with a proven track record managing high-performing outside sales teams. Deep understanding of the merchant services or payments industry. Demonstrated success in quota-setting, territory development, and team leadership. Ability to travel frequently across regional markets. Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.
