National Sales Manager

Role description: The National Sales Manager is responsible for managing all assigned accounts and developing and executing sales strategies for all brands, product lines, and distribution channels. The position requires leadership and will be crucial in driving profitable, sustainable growth of Ventamatic, reporting to the Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities
Secure new business within the Retail, Industrial, and Distribution channels.
Identify and pursue new channels of opportunity.
National Sales Management: direct management of select Retail and Distribution customer relationships, including product line reviews and daily interaction with buying and replenishment teams as required.
Direct management of strategic planning for product introductions and key customer product development, interacting with Engineering, Purchasing and the President.
Management of all Major Accounts.
Set annual forecasts and sales targets; collaborate with Purchasing to deliver accurate demand forecasting for the upcoming year.
Create a culture of success, ongoing business, and achievement.
Direct management of pricing, annual price increases, and maintenance of price lists; interact with Controller, Business Analysis and the President to determine and execute pricing strategies.
Set promotional calendar including pre-season sales, specials, and inventory closeout specials; coordinate with Purchasing to monitor overstock and plan promotions.
Manage profitability reporting for all customers and plan and execute pricing strategies to meet goals.
General duties: manage daily/weekly/monthly reporting for each Major Account and roll up reports for the Major Accounts division; participate in regular conference calls; oversee Major Account trade shows and events; manage trade show sample orders.
Qualifications
Experience in national sales management with leadership responsibilities.
Ability to manage major accounts and coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, and executive leadership.
Strong skills in strategic planning, forecasting, pricing, and promotions.
Comfort working on the road and managing on-site trade shows and events.
