Sr. Principal Voice Engineer - R10208400-4 at Northrop Grumman. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time. This role is 100% onsite at Northrop Grumman locations including Redondo Beach, CA; Rolling Meadows, IL; Roy, UT; Melbourne, FL; Linthicum, MD; Chandler, AZ; or Huntsville, AL. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available. Description: Northrop Grumman seeks a senior level Cisco Voice Engineer with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco voice solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VoIP technologies, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and related voice technologies. Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Cisco voice solutions, including VoIP, VTC, VQ, CMS, Jabber, and other unified communications systems. Develop and maintain complex dial plans, route patterns, translation patterns, route lists, groups and calling search spaces. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) routers for SIP trunking and inter-site voice routing. Support and troubleshoot video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, including Cisco Telepresence, Room Kits, and integration with third-party platforms. Monitor and optimize voice/video quality using tools like Cisco VQM, RTMT, and third-party monitoring platforms. Perform routine system upgrades, patches, and backups for UC platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice-related issues in a timely manner. Manage UCCX for multiple teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice solutions with existing systems. Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT staff. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to voice communications. Additional Duties
Plan, manage and implement complex voice designs in support of customer requirements. Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require ingenuity and creativity. Support teams in project designs to clarify project requirements, provide design solutions, in accordance with standards. Perform troubleshooting analysis of voice infrastructure and associated systems. Document voice hardware and software technology components. Install and configure Cisco voice hardware/software and accompanying technologies. Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of voice problems; periodic after-hours and weekend support. Work without appreciable direction and exercise latitude in determining technical objectives. Interface with customers and manage installation timelines and deliverables to facilitate successful deployments. Manage timely resolution of all critical and/or complex problems meeting SLA requirements. Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint and Excel. Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Work after hours and weekends as needed. Other onsite responsibilities at major Northrop Grumman work locations as listed above. Basic Qualifications
Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; OR Associate's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience; OR High School diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of relevant experience. DoD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE). Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance (at minimum) within a reasonable time. Experience designing and maintaining LAN/WAN-based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, firewalls). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CCNP Voice or CCIE Voice. Top Secret, SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access would be nice to have. Demonstrated leadership skills or prior management of small teams. Familiarity with network infrastructure and security principles. Experience with VQ Conferencing. Salary: Primary Level Salary Range: $107,800.00 - $187,300.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; actual offers depend on factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
