Overview
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Security Engineer-Senior. The salary range is $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required. Location: Patuxent River, MD (California-Lexington Park area). A typical day as a Systems Security Engineer-Senior
Supports Naval Aviation acquisition programs Supports a major ACAT developmental program Supports a full range of engineering services including cyber resiliency engineering, vulnerability research, software and hardware penetration testing, and reverse engineering Provides support to the NAVAIR Red Team and other Naval Aviation acquisition programs Supports PMA-213 and/or PMA-234 at NAVAIR and travels 10 to 15% of the time to support other sites as needed Must-haves
BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific or technical discipline from an accredited college/university 10 years of relevant work experience 10 years of recent and relevant experience in systems engineering including systems security engineering Programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems Experience with application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems Experience in systems engineering, SSE and cybersecurity related to weapon systems and platforms Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes and applications Experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle The ability to travel 10 to 15% of the time to other sites as needed The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance (Top Secret clearance required to start) Desired Skills
MA/MS Degree in a related scientific or technical discipline Knowledge of model-based systems engineering and digital engineering transformations Recent experience in AT systems engineering Recent experience with DoD acquisitions Benefits and Perks
