SAIC is looking for a journeyman Engineer to support PMA-242 (Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Weapons Program Office) at NAVAIR located at NAS Patuxent River, MD. This candidate will provide engineering/test and evaluation support and support program management services in planning, scheduling, and reporting for assigned projects in accordance with DoD acquisition program management and T&E instructions and guidebooks. Duties
Participation as a member of the test leadership team, supporting multiple projects within the portfolio Must have experience with JUONs/SOWs, writing TEMPS/MTS, holding WIPTs, working with outside agencies, and participating in other acquisition/test and evaluation functions Support development and review of technical requirements for test planning and reporting efforts Support program management in planning, scheduling, and reporting in support of assigned projects in accordance with DoD acquisition program management and T&E instructions and guidebooks Support all aspects of developing the overall test strategy and products required to plan, execute and report on test programs and projects Identify and support appropriate types and depth of testing required for the active phase of the comprehensive weapon systems projects Develop deficiency reports and Report of Test Results, to include maintenance of the project notebook (test procedures, plans, flight cards, daily reports, etc.). Identify data parameters, instrumentation requirements, perform analysis, and conduct system evaluation Support the technical studies and analyses for advanced testing philosophies, including providing recommendations on specific approaches, test facilities requirements, and equipment or system requirements Ability to perform all functional duties independently Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field required (cannot be substituted).
A Master's Degree may be substituted for 2 years of work experience 3 to 10 years of relevant experience Clearance level: An active Top Secret clearance is required; SCI eligibility is also required Must have NAVAIR Test & Engineering experience Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
