Senior-Level Electrical Engineer role with WSP in the U.S. This position supports the Power & Energy team with a focus on power generation and related electrical systems. Locations considered: Houston, TX (primary); Seattle, WA; Hailey, ID; Boise, ID; Overland Park, KS; Atlanta, GA; Oradell, NJ; Mount Laurel, NJ. Your Impact
Lead electrical engineer on design of power generation projects Lead electrical engineer on design of renewable energy projects Lead electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades Lead electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgrades Mentor and teach junior and mid engineers Project proposal and budget development Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 10+ years of detailed design engineering experience in power generation projects, including calculations and equipment specifications Engineer license required (multi-state preferred) 10+ years of experience leading a team of engineers and designers in power generation projects 10+ years of relay coordination and schematic design CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience Experience providing critical review for documents and preparing technical deliverables with a high degree of complexity Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to apply technical knowledge to testing results, data analysis, and design decisions Demonstrated ability to coordinate and direct subcontractors and others to complete tasks safely and efficiently Proven track record of workplace safety and adherence to health, safety, and harassment policies Flexibility to a variety of schedules and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment Occasional travel may be required Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering Onsite construction support experience Benefits and Compensation

Compensation range for this position is expected to be $111,200 - $198,200, dependent on qualifications and location. WSP USA reserves the right to adjust pay based on circumstances. About WSP
