Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

Honeywell The Engines and Power Systems (E&PS) Reliability, Maintainability, and System Safety (RMSS) Engineering organization has a need for a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead reliability and system safety engineering activities on multiple propulsion engine and APU programs. The successful candidate will have ownership for reliability and system safety at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the engine and APU development teams to drive growth and reach critical business milestones. Responsibilities
Authoring and ensuring development process follows system safety program plans Reliability analysis – Allocations to define requirements Functional hazard analysis Failure conditions requirements analysis Safety requirements decomposition Model based development system design Systems integration Reliability predictions throughout design process Failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA) Safety requirements validation & verification Aftermarket safety analysis and reliability metrics tracking Customer interaction Project coordination within a team and/or leading a small team of RMSS engineers Qualifications
MUST HAVE Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Minimum of 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or related fields Must be a U.S. citizen WE VALUE Demonstrated experience in system safety analysis per ARP4761 and/or MIL-STD-882 Knowledge of systems development lifecycle Experience in the design, development, manufacture, and/or test of gas turbine engines or similarly complex electro-mechanical aerospace systems Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts Leading diverse and global team Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done Ability to adapt dictated by project changes Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks and people Making autonomous decisions Experience or coursework in Probability & Statistics Background in requirements-based engineering and configuration management of requirements data Understanding of certification regulations, guidance, and typical qualification expectations About Us
