Job Overview ODonnell & Son Heating and Cooling Inc is actively seeking a seasoned

Commercial HVAC Service Technician

to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you'll be the front line of our customer service and technical excellence, responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a range of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. We're looking for someone who is as comfortable solving complex system issues as they are providing outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in residential and light commercial environments

Troubleshoot issues with hydronic systems, ductless mini splits, VRF, rooftop units, and traditional split systems

Communicate clearly with clients about findings, recommendations, and service options

Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and customer interactions

Ensure timely and professional service in compliance with company standards and local codes

Utilize low-voltage wiring knowledge for system diagnostics and control integration

Collaborate with team members to ensure effective problem-solving and efficient service delivery

Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles

Follow all safety procedures and wear provided safety equipment

Represent the company with professionalism and pride

Qualifications

5+ years of HVAC service experience preferred

Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities

Proficient with low-voltage systems and controls

Skilled in servicing hydronics, VRF, mini-splits, split systems, and rooftop units

Leadership and customer service experience a strong plus

High school diploma or GED preferred

Presentable, team-oriented, and goal-driven

Valid driver's license required

Licenses or certifications in plumbing or refrigeration are encouraged but not required
