Engineer, General Maintenance - Embassy Suites - LAX South. Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles International Airport South is currently looking for an energetic and experienced Engineer. This role is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public spaces and back of the house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel, in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. As an Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public space and back of the house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel, in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including guest rooms, public space and back-of-the-house areas. Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment. Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry. Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs. Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention. Pay Range: The starting hourly wage is $22.00 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. What are we looking for?

Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for repairs as they apply to all aspects of suite and public areas. Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic plumbing, painting, mechanic and carpentry. Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
