Overview
The Reliability Engineer champions proactive maintenance and asset performance strategies for refinery operations. You’ll develop and maintain reliability models, trend MTBF metrics, and support long-term equipment strategies for pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels. Through data analytics and field insight, you’ll identify failure modes, optimize spare-parts plans, and support turnarounds and inspection programs. Collaboration across maintenance, engineering, and operations is central to driving a culture of reliability excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead asset health and equipment reliability initiatives for rotating and static machinery
Drive RCM and FMEA programs to extend asset life and reduce unplanned downtime
Partner with maintenance and process teams to improve mechanical integrity
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering
7+ years of experience in refinery or chemical plant maintenance reliability
Knowledge of API 580/581, ASME, and RBI methodologies
Experience with SAP PM, Meridium, or other CMMS systems
Root Cause Analysis and FMEA certifications preferred
