This position is responsible for:
Providing rotating, reciprocating and fixed equipment engineering support to the CO2 business unit’s operational assets (Oil & Gas, midstream, RNG and LNG assets). To be successful in this role, the individual should have experience in the operation, sizing and diagnosis of rotating equipment such as centrifugal pumps, reciprocating compressors and electric motors.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Demonstrate Safe Behavior.
Ensure proactive, ongoing, high quality customer service is provided to the supported assets.
Provide diagnostics and troubleshooting support to field operations for varied set of operating assets, mainly reciprocating compressors, centrifugal pumps and electric motors. Travel to field sites as required to accomplish this urgently in some cases.
Evaluate rotating/reciprocating machinery problems and conduct root-cause failure analysis investigations on failed equipment, develop action plans to eliminate repeat failures and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Work with the facilities to improve the use of CMMs (Maximo) to capture equipment downtime, uptime, and implement rotating equipment KPIs (MTBF, MTTR and availability).
Work with operations and maintenance to identify key areas for reliability improvements in both rotating and fixed equipment and develop solutions to drive higher asset availability.
Actively develop and execute evergreen maintenance and reliability strategies (RCM) of critical equipment to reduce unplanned equipment downtime.
Provide support to the predictive maintenance program for both rotating and reciprocating machinery.
Own and drive the implementation of a Mechanical Integrity (MI) program for the RNG assets.
Frequent monitoring of critical equipment to ensure operations within parameters.
Preference may be given to those who also have the following experience:
Measurement and system balancing technical support for liquid hydrocarbon pipeline systems.
Mechanical integrity program support for Plant vessels and Plant piping systems.
Other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
