Job Description: Manager, Mechanical Engineering
We are seeking a highly qualified Manager of Mechanical Engineering to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, with at least six years of applicable mechanical engineering experience and three years in direct management. The role involves managing a diverse team, overseeing engineering development processes, and ensuring compliance with industry and military standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead a team of engineers and technical staff. Oversee engineering development and design processes. Ensure compliance with GD&T, ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, and MIL-STD-100G standards. Coordinate projects involving military land, air, and sea systems. Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for design and development. Apply knowledge of materials, fabrication, and assembly processes. Manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across teams. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Business Administration. Extensive experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, and military systems. Experience with product Data Management (PDM), PLM, and FEA. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance. Willingness to travel up to 25%. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and a commitment to excellence, working effectively in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Prior experience with aerospace or defense systems, 3D scanning, or 3D printing is a plus.
