Overview
Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in one of our office locations: Austin TX, Denver CO, Minneapolis MN, or Muscatine IA. In this position, you will work on a variety of energy projects, including industrial, water/wastewater, federal, and power generation experience. Renewable system design is becoming a larger part of our portfolio and offers an opportunity for professional growth in this expanding segment of consulting service. This role may involve managing other discipline engineers and performing electrical work on a variety of projects. Hybrid work options are available, with two days in the office, two days remote, and a flexible day on Friday. Some roles may offer a compressed workweek. Eligible positions may use a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Base pay range
$104,700.00/yr - $136,050.00/yr Responsibilities
Manage other discipline engineers and perform electrical work on a variety of projects. Conduct electrical system analyses including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies. Engineer microgrid (distributed generation), battery storage energy systems, and photovoltaic electrical systems including studies and system modeling. Design electrical systems in accordance with NEC, including power to medium- and low-voltage distribution, mechanical building systems, and lighting systems. Design campus distribution and building low-voltage systems and may include working with European voltage systems and standards. Coordinate information with vendors and assist in sizing and selecting electrical equipment. Perform project field site visits and develop engineering drawings and specifications. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university 2–8 years of experience in electrical engineering (industrial, water/wastewater, federal, and/or power generation experience) Understanding of developing engineering drawings and specifications; ability to perform basic engineering calculations Experience sizing, selecting, and specifying electrical equipment; coordinating information with vendors Ability to perform project field site visits Design experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical systems Proficiency with ETAP, SKM or Easypower; AGI or Visual Lighting Software AutoCAD/Revit is a plus FE or PE license depending on experience level Excellent written and verbal communication skills General understanding of engineering drawings and specifications About Stanley Consultants
