DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's Degree in scientific related field; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
Applicable clinical laboratory experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with SoftLab LIS and Epic. Experience with the following automated instrumentation Iris IChem/IQ, GEM4000, TEG, and Roche Cobas. Generalist skills - Hematology / Chemistry Hospital Experience. Hematology Analyzer -Sysmex, ACL Top. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime and at various locations as necessary in accordance with operational needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Annual Full Pay Range: $98,846 - $130,563 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $47.34 - $62.53 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. If employed by the University of California, you will be required to comply with our Policy on Vaccination Programs, which may be amended or revised from time to time. Federal, state, or local public health directives may impose additional requirements. If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
