North Carolina State University . The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) supports all NC State students through academic affairs, student affairs, and University College. The Crafts Center’s C: LAB Studio Technician reports to the Director of The Crafts Center. Responsibilities

Upholds the missions and goals of The Crafts Center Provide initial prioritization, troubleshooting, resolution, escalation, and timely response to user requests and issues Support C: LAB members and students by answering technical questions, servicing and producing student works (e.g., 3D printing, engraving), offering workflow and data management suggestions, promoting the C: LAB on campus, and supporting instructors Maintain, deploy, and supervise all computers, equipment and software in the C: LAB Provide technology support for classroom instruction Assist with password resets, accounts, permissions, and general network troubleshooting in cooperation with University IT Maintain documentation for network, user applications, safety and use, and software Work with the Director to identify trends, roll out proactive projects, and perform other duties as assigned Manage C: LAB inventory, supplies, and materials Collaborate with the Director and instructors to develop maker projects and expand curriculum Provide orientation to new instructors and students Prepare, gather, and manage documentation relating to user manuals, best practices, and health and safety expectations Ensure and maintain best practices related to student health and safety through proper technique and supervision Create a warm and welcoming learning environment for students Communicate clearly and professionally in a timely manner Qualifications

Minimum Experience/Education : Must be current NCSU Undergraduate student Required Skills : Understanding of network infrastructure, hardware and software systems Ability to learn new software; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and CAD programs (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Trotec Jobs software, 3D printing software) Professionalism, honesty, integrity and respect for everyone on campus Strong customer service skills including punctuality, professional dress, focused attention, and a positive attitude Self-motivation with problem-solving curiosity Ability to lift 50 lbs and to walk up and down stairs Work Schedule

100% In Person / 2-3 days per week (10-15 hours/week). Some nights & weekends may be required. Compensation & Benefits
