Executive Director – Career Development Center
NC State University’s Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) seeks an Executive Director to provide administrative oversight of the Career Development Center.
Responsibilities
Provide visionary leadership, management, and administrative oversight to the Career Development Center.
Ensure the development and implementation of best‑practice programs and services to promote student success.
Develop and foster effective relationships with employers and recruiters.
Develop, manage, and maximize departmental budget and resources.
Ensure appropriate hiring, training, supervision, evaluation, and continuing education of organizational staff.
Serve as champion and ambassador for the organization at the campus, state, and national levels.
Administer an efficient department through systematic planning and assessment.
Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures.
Coordinate and collaborate with other divisions and departments to provide comprehensive services.
Create and implement innovative outreach and prevention programs.
Consult and partner with university administrators, faculty, staff, and others as appropriate.
Other Responsibilities
Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on needs and evolving priorities.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in higher education, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
Other Required Qualifications
At least five years of direct leadership and oversight experience in a career center or relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher‑education setting.
Terminal Degree in higher education, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
Licenses & Certifications Valid NC Driver’s License required.
