Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a board-certified OB/GYN physician to join as Vice Chair of Research and Education for the Department of OB/GYN at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This full-time leadership role combines clinical practice with oversight of research and education, guiding resident and medical student education, faculty development, and clinical quality initiatives.

Position Highlights
Leadership & Oversight:
Guide and manage all research and educational activities within the OB/GYN department, ensuring superior training for residents, fellows, and medical students.
Program Development:
Drive the creation of innovative programs for faculty development, enhancing clinical and research expertise.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Residency Program Director to support and improve faculty teaching activities and curriculum.
Faculty Engagement:
Actively engage voluntary faculty members to enhance teaching effectiveness and foster a collaborative learning environment.
Strategic Initiatives:
Implement forward-thinking strategies to keep the department at the forefront of medical education and clinical quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications
Board-Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
Minimum of 7 years of clinical and research experience
Strong commitment to academic excellence, with a focus on medical education and research
Exceptional interpersonal and clinical leadership skills
Open to both Generalists and Specialists with an interest in academic leadership
