The Data Centers Team delivers facility planning, design, engineering, construction, technology, and energy services to clients. The Opportunity

In this role you will have the opportunity to: Lead the delivery of design-only, design-build, and construction-only projects in Electrical Engineering deliverables for Data Centers projects. Provide subject matter expertise in data center design. Train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals. Collaborate with a team of engineers experienced in data center projects. Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers. Engage in client-facing activities and support business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand project scope. Continuously develop technical expertise. This role will primarily support projects in North America. The ideal candidate will be located or willing to relocate to one of the following locations: Overland Park, KS; Canonsburg, PA; Charlotte, NC; Cary, NC; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities

Provide guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable codes, and Black & Veatch policies. May own, maintain, update, or develop engineering standards and guides. Provide technical guidance to project teams. Ensure compliance with quality programs and promote continuous improvement, change management, and risk management. Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple projects; perform research and make recommendations for equipment/materials; manage data for engineering work. Prepare engineering calculations, manage budgets/schedules/quality, develop advanced solutions, and supervise lower-level staff as needed. Coordinate with internal/external teams on complex projects and define project schedules for single or multiple disciplines. Identify client interests and drivers and address them in project execution; support business development and pursuits. Act as a technical specialist in a broad or specialized area and mentor others. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program or equivalent engineering experience. Minimum of 11 years related work experience. Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record requirements where applicable (e.g., U.S. Professional Engineer License). Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Project Lead experience in data center designs. Understanding of design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency. Knowledge of data center tier rating systems; proficiency in Autodesk Revit and BIM 360/Navisworks tools. Ability to lead projects, manage schedules and budgets, and mentor staff. Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to develop business opportunities. Certifications

Active engineering registration or licensure as required for BV projects in applicable countries (e.g., U.S. Professional Engineer License). Work Environment
