Royal Caribbean Group Position Summary The Product Owner, Product Development will translate the product vision into briefs, documents and working sessions to align stakeholders and partners, ensuring that the product or experience is brought to life as an amazing and uniquely Royal Caribbean International vacation product. Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Development. Job Details Job Title: Product Owner Job Code: PRD001 Brand: RCI Country: United States Scope: Global Job Location: Miami Department: Product Development Sales Incentive: No Grade: 15 Reports To: Sr. Mgr PD/ Mgr Direct Reports: 0 Date: 7/28/25 Responsibilities Run day-to-day execution of new concepts, experiences, activities, dedicated spaces, and programming for Royal Caribbean International. Drive strategic rollout efforts on new ships, modernization of the existing fleet, or private destinations. Collaborate with teams across the organization including Product Innovation, Operations, Newbuild, Design, Marketing, Digital, Sales, Risk Management and Revenue Management. Provide ongoing support for the strategic direction of the product/experience and ensure alignment among stakeholders. Work with Consumer Insights to incorporate the voice of the consumer and deliver guest-focused products. Define products to ensure viability, feasibility and desirability, coordinating across brand, Newbuild and partners to deliver successfully. Ensure concepts are marketable, drive guest satisfaction and revenue. Lead design and execution to continually enhance products. Create presentations outlining product direction to keep partners aligned on priorities. Prioritize product delivery to realize the strategic vision and guest experience. Communicate changes or shifts to cross-functional teams and keep Product Managers informed of progress. Collaborate with operations and design on run-of-show events to deliver on strategy/vision. Create startup plans and training materials for flawless execution of concepts/experiences. Partner with Newbuild and architectural/design teams to ensure physical products meet brand expectations. Leverage Insights & Analytics to inform product development. Maintain and share Royal Caribbean International experience DNA and standards across products, projects and teams. Share experience guidelines with Creative Agencies, Operations and Newbuild teams to support design and build of venues delivering the desired guest experience. Work with Project Management Office and Newbuild to manage gates, milestones, goals and timelines to meet design quality standards and aspiration. Manage short- and long-term goals across complex timelines and deliverables. Knowledge and Skills The ideal candidate blends creative thinking with executional skill, solving problems with solutions that keep everyone aligned to the vision. Experience driving teams through development of physical products and experiences with consumer-centric solutions reaching market successfully. Basic understanding of consumer technology trends (mobile, wearables, VR, etc.). Experience developing products grounded in consumer insights. Strong ability to communicate across a large ecosystem of partners spanning product definition, design and construction. Exceptional verbal and written communication and leadership, including to executives. Ability to assemble, lead and influence cross-functional teams to execute a vision. Ability to craft and tell a compelling story for partners and collaborators. Ability to document and package detailed operational requirements and experiences. Attention to detail and follow-through. Qualifications and Education Minimum 3-5 years in a product, design or related role developing consumer experiences. Bachelor’s degree required. Experience bringing high-quality products to market. Experience working with Architects/Designers/Creative & Innovation Consultants is a plus. Past experience in the travel industry is a plus. Financial/Quantitative Responsibilities Responsible for brand oversight and execution of the product vision for multiple products/experiences, each potentially exceeding millions of dollars over multiple years of development. Physical Requirements Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace change and bring purpose to chaos. Some travel is required to understand guest experience, operations and shipbuilding processes.
