In this role you will have the opportunity to: Function as a technical lead engineer on underground transmission line projects.

Perform underground transmission line design, ideally with experience of trenchless installation methods.

Actively participate in management, project scheduling, and work/resource planning meetings.

Interface directly with clients, vendors and subcontractors.

Quality assurance/quality control of projects and mentor junior engineers.

Engineering Standards: Continues to learn, remains current and applies knowledge about departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and BV policies.

Quality/Continuous Improvement: Applies BV quality program to assigned tasks; may ensure compliance and provide guidance to others on the project.

Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.

Engineering Production: Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables and performs complex research for equipment/materials selection.

Prepares complex engineering calculations and manages budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Plans and conducts independent evaluation of engineering techniques and criteria.

Reviews lower-level work and may oversee data management, team leadership, or project charge responsibilities.

Project Coordination: Actively coordinates with internal/external team members on moderately complex projects.

Client Focus: Assists with identifying client interests and drivers on less complex projects and communicates them to the project team.

May support business development or pursuit activities.

Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology: Recognized as a technical specialist with in-depth knowledge of engineering processes and industry aspects.

Designs complete projects of moderately complex scope within assigned practice areas.

People Management

(supervision, career development, training, mentoring): Typically assists with performance management, mentoring, recognition, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications PE License

Underground utility design experience (methods and standards)

High voltage design experience

Quality Assurance and Quality Control of transmission design projects

Strong written communications and interpersonal skills

Skills: Drive for results, planning, prioritization, delegation, directing others, conflict management, informing, listening, and teamwork

Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and standards related to the discipline

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program

Minimum 5 years related work experience

Pre-employment checks may be required (background, drug screen, MVR) in compliance with laws.

Professional registration or licensure in the designated home office country, or active pursuit of such registration, is typically required depending on the division. Compensation & Benefits

Annual compensation range: $103,194.00 – $154,623.00. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k, paid time off, and more. ESOP ownership and inclusive culture are emphasized.
