Overview Join to apply for the Clinician I/II - CSU 30hrs role at Momentum for Health. Work schedule is Monday - Wednesday, 10:00 pm – 8:00 am. Licensed candidates are preferred as either a LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC; ACSW, APCC or AMFT with experience can be considered. Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or addiction issues is encouraged.

Hourly pay and benefits are described below, including union rates, overtime differentials, and a cafeteria-plan benefits package. The program focuses on reintegration into the community by developing interpersonal and independent living skills, and by establishing community support systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership in areas of comprehensive assessments, case conferences, treatment plans and strategic interventions to ensure quality service delivery.

Serve as a lead member of the treatment team, participate in crisis intervention, and provide clinical supervision and direct services within scope of practice.

Provide orientation, consultation, and coordination to ensure service delivery meets the needs of clients, families, payors, and reflects sound clinical judgment; provide training and guidance to staff, interns and volunteers.

Provide consultation and back-up to support other staff in responding to client crisis; develop, review, evaluate and/or sign documentation requiring LPHA signature.

Deliver treatment services, training, and support to clients individually and in groups, and provide related services to families to develop skills related to physical and mental health care needs.

Interview clients and representatives, complete strengths assessments and needs analyses, develop goal-oriented plans, and facilitate rehabilitation counseling processes and curriculums.

Assist clients in understanding problems and developing plans to resolve them; maintain regular communication with families and third parties involved in the rehabilitation process.

Coordinate needed services for clients and families, make referrals to other services as needed, and develop discharge and follow-up treatment plans.

Maintain timely, accurate clinical records and reports in accordance with agency, payor and regulatory requirements; provide response to crises and follow-up assessments as needed.

Provide transportation as required and participate in after-hours coverage as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Attend staff, program, agency and community meetings and trainings; meet continuing education requirements consistent with regulatory and agency requirements.

Participate in management of team resources to meet client needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Master's degree in the mental health profession and one year of experience in human services settings; eligibility for licensure or registration with applicable boards (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, BBS, etc.).

First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire (if assigned to residential facilities).

Ability to meet continuing education requirements and maintain licensure/registration as required; proficient in MS Office and basic computer literacy.

Ability to work independently and in a team; manage a caseload; effective verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.

Knowledge of clinical techniques for assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of people with mental illness; familiarity with community resources; understanding of MHSA and WRAP is desirable.

Special requirements: criminal records clearance as required; valid California driver license and access to a vehicle with valid auto liability insurance; physical ability to perform job duties.
