Overview
Work Schedule: Monday – Wednesday, 10:00 pm – 8:00 am. Licensed candidates are preferred as either a LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC; ACSW, APCC or AMFT with experience can be considered. Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or addiction issues encouraged to apply. These are 3/10 hour overnight awake shifts. Pay and language compensation: Hourly rate is Associate $40.55 and Licensed $52.34 (plus 10% differential). Bi-lingual pay is $125 per paycheck for threshold languages to serve monolingual clients. Union positions: Pay rates are set in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with SEIU Local 521. Each position has six steps (Step 1 entry level through Step 6, 15 years with the organization). Union staff are promoted from Step 1 to Step 2 after one year. For Clinician I, current Step 1 rate is $40.55/hr and Step 6 rate is $44.77/hr. For Clinician II, current Step 1 rate is $52.34/hr and Step 6 rate is $57.79/hr. Benefits: We offer a competitive package for 30 to 40-hour week positions, including a defined contribution up to $14,580 per year (prorated for part-time) to purchase benefits on a cafeteria plan. Any unused amount is paid as taxable earnings. Retirement plan with employer match starting at 4% after one year. Paid time off includes up to 25 vacation days per year, 6 sick days per year, and 12 paid holidays. The cafeteria plan benefits include: Medical benefits

– Guardian VSP options Shift differential: 6% overnight (NOC, 11 pm–7 am); 4.5% evening (5:30 pm–10:59 pm); 4.5% weekends (Sat 12:01 am – Sun 11:59 pm). Only the highest applicable differential is paid. Principal duties and responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership in assessments, case conferences, treatment plans and strategic interventions to ensure quality service delivery. Lead within the treatment team, participate in crisis intervention, and provide clinical supervision and direct services as assigned and within scope of practice. Provide orientation, consultation, and coordination within the work team to ensure service delivery meets client, family, and payor needs and reflects sound clinical judgment. Provide clinical leadership and training to staff, interns and volunteers within agency standards and policies. Provide appropriate consultation and back-up to support staff in responding to client crises. Develop, review, evaluate and/or sign documentation requiring LPHA signature. Provide treatment services and support to clients individually and in groups, and related services to families to improve health care needs. Interview clients and representatives to gather demographic and psychosocial information; complete strengths assessments and needs analyses. Develop goal-oriented, time-limited, comprehensive plans with clients and/or representatives. Facilitate groups and rehabilitation processes to develop life, coping and independent living skills; develop curricula. Assist clients in understanding problems and developing plans to resolve them; maintain communication with families and third parties involved in rehabilitation. Coordinate needed services for clients and families; make referrals to other services and resources as needed. Develop discharge and follow-up treatment planning; complete reassessments prior to expiration of current plans. Maintain timely, accurate clinical records and reports in accordance with agency, payor and regulatory requirements. Additional duties: Provide assessment and intervention in client crises, assist Program Manager with compliance, provide transportation as needed, participate in after-hours rotation, and perform First Aid if assigned to residential facilities. Attend and participate in staff, program, agency and community meetings and training as required. Meet continuing education requirements to satisfy regulatory, accreditation, and agency requirements and stay current with trends in mental health. Participate in management of team/program discretionary resources to meet client needs. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required
Master’s degree in the mental health profession and one year of human services experience in a mental health setting with targeted populations (essential). Eligibility for waiver and apply for registration/waiver upon hire; obtain waiver within six months. Eligibility for registration from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as AMFT/ACSW/APCC or from California Board of Psychology as a Registered Psychologist or Psychological Assistant. First Aid certification or completion within 30 days of hire if assigned to residential facilities (essential). Continuing education and licensure requirements, including minimum hours of related training if assigned to residential facilities (essential). Proven typing speed and computer literacy; ability to use MS Office and related databases (essential). Ability to work independently and in small teams; manage a caseload; communicate effectively in English; manage problems of mentally disordered individuals; monitor recovery; conduct group rehabilitation; maintain medical charts; demonstrate tact and good judgment; work from a strengths-based model; work with diverse populations. Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness who may have histories of hospitalization, institutionalization, substance abuse, and challenges with community living (essential); ability to work with high-risk populations (desirable). Special requirements: criminal records clearance, valid California driver license and reliable vehicle, auto liability insurance, clean DMV record. Physical requirements: ability to perform essential functions, including hearing and speaking, standing/walking/sitting, and occasional lifting or bending; able to assist clients in emergencies.
