Traveling Water and Wastewater Maintenance Specialist

We are growing and have an immediate opening for an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Specialist to help support operations in the eastern Massachusetts region, with occasional travel in other regions of the eastern coast of the United States. In this role, you will support operations through project transitions, providing technical support, backfilling management positions, provide assistance for process control or trouble shooting activities, working with various software technologies, and potentially perform day to day operations. Career Growth. Strong bonus potential. What You Will Be Doing At Woodard & Curran Work with Area Managers and Project Managers to support project demands. Provide technical support and training onsite to implement the Asset Management Program. Utilize W&C technical platforms for data collection: Utility Cloud Hach WIMS, Do Forms, Power BI, etc. Provide operations and maintenance support at water and/or wastewater treatment facilities. Travel Requirements This position will be supporting operations primarily in eastern Massachusetts, with occasional travel on the East Coast of the United States. You will be required to travel a minimum of 75% of the year with much of this travel being regionally-focused in Massachusetts and surrounding states. What Will You Need To Succeed An Operations treatment license in water and/or wastewater in Massachusetts and/or a bordering state is preferred. Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments including inclement weather. Solid water and wastewater background which may include certifications and licenses. Supervisory experience. Experience with utility technology software including Hach’s Water Information Management System (Hach WIMS) is a plus. Knowledge of the water and wastewater industry to include equipment, controls, and process. May be required to wear a respirator. Willingness to travel to support assigned projects and assist with emergency event repair and recovery efforts. The pay is $35 - $50 an hour, commensurate with experience and licenses held. This position is an exempt, salaried position, eligible for Straight over-time pay.
