Sales Account Executive (Western States)

SoundThinking SoundThinking is currently seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Account Executive to join our team. We value emotional intelligence, adaptability, and excellent team spirit. The selected candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our innovative solutions to our clients. We are particularly interested in individuals with superior oral and written communication skills and prefer applicants with prior experience in public safety sales.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Generate leads, prospects, opportunities, and close business with all new accounts in territory 3-5 years’ experience as an account executive Sell existing accounts, prospects or leads in designated territory Achieve annual quota Manage forecast and pipeline within territory Work closely with corresponding Territory Sales Directors Provide status and detailed reporting as requested by senior management on all accounts, opportunities, leads, proposals, and other pertinent information Manage all government funding, grant, budget or other processes with all accounts or opportunities to ensure complete funding for prospective business Participate with rest of company in non-sales activity as requested by management, including but not limited to certain tactical marketing collateral contribution, participation at industry or related events, involvement in company events, participation in demonstrations, etc Significant travel within territory including client visits and trade show
Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of Sales Account Executive experience Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong, effective problem-solving skills and analytical ability Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills Prior Public Safety sales experience highly desirable Intermediate proficiency in SalesForce.com highly desirable Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Travel: up to 75%
Hybrid Workplace
SoundThinking follows a hybrid schedule for employees who live equal to or less than 50 miles from one of our office locations, which include Fremont, CA, Tucson, AZ, Washington, D.C., or Iselin, NJ. Employees are expected to work onsite 3 days per week – the specific days are dependent on the office location.
